The first major bathroom renovation at the Foster
Harris House
This was a poorly designed bathroom layout with so much
wasted space.
This was one of the design ideas I came with up and was the clear choice
to maximize space
and allow for the bold (but warm) look the owners wanted.
At 6 1/2' x 6 1/2', this is still a "cozy" bathroom space
but now it has a functional design.
Got rid of the "boxed in" clawfoot tub and replace with a
"neo-angle" shower.
Replaced existing sink with a pedistal.
Moved the toilet location about 12" to right
Removed exterior window and replace with glass block.
(the stained glass you see was only hung inside over the single pane
glass)
Incorporated glass block in shower walls to give a more open feel.
All bullnosed tiles were custom made on site to accomodate the design
in a clean fashion.
Obviously, the entire room was gutted for this remodel.
Both the plumbing and electrical were rerouted and cleaned up ... and
the sheetrock was replaced.
